Committee

Situated on the borders of Leicestershire and Northamptonshire nestles the picturesque village of  Stoke Albany. The village boasts many listed buildings dating back many centuries and its 200 inhabitants are serviced by the local public house, 'The White Horse', an 11th century church and the Old School House, which is now used as the village hall.

The old school house dates back to 1887 and was still teaching the local children up until as recently as the 1960's. In the late 60's it was de-commissioned and donated to the village as their designated village hall. Since that time it has been the sole responsability of the village, via a committee, to maintain and run this quaint old building for all those who wish to use and enjoy it.

The hall is run solely as a charity and all of its upkeep and running costs are born by monies raised by hiring it out and by annual fundraising events. It really is a unique building which can easily cater for up to 60 people and benefits from the following-

  • Main Hall & Kitchen re-decorated Summer 2009
  • Fully fitted and equipped kitchen
  • Large rear car park
  • full disabled access
  • small meeting room available to hire seperately
  • Fully Heated
  • plenty of chairs and fold-a-way tables
  • front green can be used (please request when booking)
